Harish Kapadia

A cloth merchant by profession, Kapadia has a degree in Commerce, Law and Management from Bombay University. Kapadia has published twelve books on trekking and climbing in the Western Ghats and the Himalaya. High Himalaya Unknown Valleys and Meeting The Mountains cover his various trips to the Himalaya, while Spiti Adventures in the Trans-Himalaya, cover climbing and trekking in that region. For the past 28 years, he has been editor of the prestigious Himalayan Journal published by the Himalayan Club, Mumbai. Kapadia is also working towards an environmental clean-up and a “Peace Park” for the Siachen Glacier where he lost his son to the high-altitude war that has been raging there for 18 years.
